Dunedin, last night,

Tho City Council to-night adopted tho whole of the Tramway Committee’s report to take Taieri and Lee streams for generating electricity, carrying the present King street line along George street, and taking the Castle street line through Botannic Gardens, thus completing the circuit. A motion, referring the question of tho necessity of workmen’s homes in the City to tho Finance Committee, was carried. .
