The British exports of coal for May increased by 111,000 tons compared with the previous May. The price of mutton of all kinds is unchanged. Prime Canterbury lamb is 3 3-16 d, and fair average, including Dunedin, - Southland, Wellington, secondary Canterbury 4jd. River Plate crossbred or merino wethers, heavy light 2 3-Bd. New Zealand" beef, 180 to 2201b5, fail-average-quality: ox fores 29-16 d, hinds 8 5-Sd. Hides dull. New South Wales light ox 4£d, others unchanged. Leather is unchanged, but basils have declined a half-penny. 1 Tin: spot 130, three months 1281. * Silver: 2s 3 7-16 d.
