William 111. threw out a challenge at the distance and got within a neck of Voladyvoski, but the favorite answered gamely, and won by three-quarters of a length, with four lengths between second and third. Time, 2.40 4-5. The American jockey, C. Reiff, rode Voladyvoski. The attendance at Epson was a record.
