MAN DROWNED.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Napier, last night. News was received in town to-night of the drowning at Upper Mohaka of a young man named Thomas Lamb. No particulars are to hand, but it is conjectured that deceased, who had only recently returned to this colony from Australia, and who was working on Potter Bros.’ run, was attempting to cross the river, and, not knowing the river well, was carried off his feet. Mr Lamb was 29 years of age, and was a son' of the late Mr JR. Lamb, architect, of this town.
