AUCKLAND TRAINING NOTES.
. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. Sudden went pleasingiy over the fences _ yesterday, schooling with The Monk and e ICatere. Mokomoko jumped the hurdles e to-day. Caunougate finished strong after two circuits. Rosella went nicely a mile J with Derringcottc. Beddington and Glas- ‘ gow did a strong circuit, Regalia and • Bacchus a long, steady task, St. Ursula a “ capital once round, Sundial, Honesty and Winsome- a pleasing mile, Hastings six furlongs, and Balbirnie a good mile. La 1 Gloria and .Formula took longer over the same distance, La Gloria with most weight. Cavalerio did strong, steady work, moving a little short. Favoua, after doing strong work, was very lame. Tiki jumped the hurdles. Couer de Lion and Blackberry' had a pleasing gallop of two miles. Volee, Charcoal, Hairtrigger, Princess Thule, Nor’-west, Plain Jack and Tim did medium pacing. Ruffles had a good gallop of two miles. Admiral Hawke ieat Picklock and Motor over six furlongs. Lady Avon and Merry Kate finished strong after five furlongs. Sudden was too strong for Tarragon and The , Monk on two circuits. St. Olga did a mile nicely. Haeta ran away from Everet. Capford jumped the fences moderately. Plain Bill galloped stronger than Kaimate, and led for two rounds. Royal Conqueror beat Dingo at the last hurdle home, after going fourteen furlongs. Hinau and Cannonade also did nice schooling on the course proper. Moifaa , and Sylvanus both went well round the , steeplechase course, and then covered a * circuit on the tan. Vanquish started, but * was left behind. Riot jumped pleasingly. 1 The latest arrivals are Fashion, Crusoe, Jemina, Stepina, St. Ada, Dartmoor, Gipsy Queen, and King Edward. Betting is unchanged.
