AUCKLAND JURIES AGAIN.
STRONG REMARKS BY JUDGE CONOLLY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, last night. At the Supreme Court evidence in the case: against James Charles Sainsbury, charged with indecent assault upon a Maori woman at Waiharea, was concluded, and the jury brought in a verdict of not guilty. His Honor Judge Conolly, who had summed up strongly against the prisoner, said he did not wonder at the frequency of cases of assault upon women when juries brought in such verdicts. _ Accused addressed some remarks about his innocence, but His Honor interrupted him with the remarks: “ You are discharged, and you may consider -yourself very lucky.”
