The Saul, of Kebbaina, a tribe on the coast of Morocco, shot and killed M. I’ougot, a French yachtsman. France has sent two cruisers to Morocco to obtain redress from the Sultan. The explosion at Kalgan, news of which was cabled on the 16th, killed and injured 200 Chinese. 1 May 23. Canada has offered British shipbuilders a bonus to construct ships in Canada. America has planned battleships of sixteen thousand tons. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at ~>i, 019,000 bushels. Cairo, May 23. The Khedive pardoned Arabi Pasha and lju.stapa Ferny, who have been living in exile in Ceylon, and allows them to return to Egypt.
