A RECORD SURPLUS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, May 22. At the A.M.P. meeting tho surplus was shown to be the largest in tho history of the Society. The new business amounted to £4,224,000. The addition mado to accumulated funds was £955,000, bringing them beyond the seventeen million mark, the largest increase ever made in one? year. The surplus for distribution was £537,894. The report was adopted.
