Cruelty to Sheep.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) . Auckland, last night. At the instance of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Humphrey Kaurn was charged with cruelty to sheep by causing them to jump from the top tier of sheep trucks to the ground when unloading. The Magistrate held accused to be guilty of cruelty which was not necessary, as a gangway was provided, and .fined him one shilling and costs. .
