Tho party disombarked quietly a couple of miles outsiflo tho city, and reached town without their presence being known. At three o’clock the Duke and Duchess and suito, who had embarked aboard the steamer Lucinda, landed at the Municipal wharf, and wero received by tho Mayor, an address being presented. As the procession moved through tho city tho greatest enthusiasm was manifested.

J Queen street was festooned with greenery. In George street a most striking featuro is the aboriginal arch in tho form of a pyramid covered with, ti-treo bark, and j ornamented with elk horn, bird’s nest, ferns in bark of tho gunyah, on each podimont, in each arm of which wero two gins and two piccaninies. Fifty blacks stand in pairs in steps up to the apex of the pyramid, which is surmounted by a giant grass-tree. Victoria bridge is a mass of flags, streamers, garlands, and palms. Sydney, May 20. The Duko returns overland to Hawkesbury river, whore he rejoins tho Ophir and steams to Sydney.
