Au alteration of the mail service from Port Awanui to Hick’s Bay has been made, extending the service from fortnightly to weekly between Te Araroa and Hick’s Bay, and giving a weekly mail right through. There is now a bi-weekly service from Gisborne to Tolago Bay, and a weekly service from Tolago Bay right through to Hiek’s J3 a y, A Post Office is to be opened at Kunakanae, even miles f roni Te Karaka.
