THE follosving Resolution was passed at a Special Meeting of the Council, held on Tuesday, 14th May, 1901: — “ That the Gisborne Borough Council, under the powers conferred upon it by i Sections Nos. 112 to 114 (both inclusive) , of ‘'The Municipal Corporations Act, . 1900,”, and Sections Nos. 37 to 44 (both inclusive) of “ The Rating Act, 1894,” hereby (by Special Order) make and levy a Special Rate of Threepence in the Pound on the annual value of all rateable property within the Borough of Gisborne for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, and ending on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the Loan. Such rate to be due and payable in Two Equal Instalments upon the 30th June and 31st December in each year. This Rate is made to provide , Interest and Sinking Fund upon the \ Loan renewed with the Gisborne Harbor Board.”
