REMOUNTS. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Christchurch, last night. Mr Holderness, Stock Inspector, has purchased in Canterbury about 150 horses as remounts for the forces in South Africa. BIG GRAIN HARYE ST. During March and April 856,892 sacks of grain have been carried on the Canterbury railways,as against 136,321 in the corresponding period of the previous year. During the last 14 days 240,258 sacks have been carried.
