(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. GENERAL ITEMS. 'V, \ . Mr Mulock, the Canadian representative at Melbourne, cables to the Premier that he will be unable to come to New Zealand, being obliged to leave for England on June 4th.
Mr Singleton, a Canadian, who has accepted the offer of the position of instructor in cheese-making under the New Zealand Government, arrives by the next trip of the Sierra. The further trial of Michael Brennan, charged with bigamy, concerning which two juries have disagreed, was postponed till the next criminal sessions of the Supreme Court. " The Chinese residents of Wellington have raised £IOO for the erection of an arch in the city on the occasion of the Royal visit.
