TEACHERS’ SALARIES.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Christchurch, last night,
At the Teachers’ Salaries Commission to-day a number of witnesses were examined on the proposed scale of salaries. Several witnesses affirmed that the scale was liberal, while others did not think it went far enough. An - opinion was expressed that it was impossible to introduce technical instruction unless the present syllabus was modified. The Commission expects to conclude its sittings in Christohuroh to-day,
