THE ERO SENSATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, May 9. Tho Emperor of Corea, disapproving of a railway syndicate loan, tho President of his Private Council has resigned. In connection with the tug Ero incident at Tiontsin, it is now stated that the tug had a Chinoso crow, and was passing under a bridge. The Chinese declined to answer tho German sentry, who therefore fired. No Europeans wore aboard.
CHINESE PIRATES. KILL MANY FRENCHMEN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, May 10. Bands of Chinoso pirates attacked several posts on tho way to Tongking, killing or wounding twenty-four French soldiers. They wero ultimately repulsed witli heavy loss and driven across tho frontier.
