WEIGHT OF COAL.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —As the winter is coming on, and a great quantity of coal will be consumed, I think it high time that the authorities should see that full-weight is given to those people who, not being wealthy enough to purchase by the load, have to buy by the bag. I consider a bag of coal should bo filled like a. bag of chaff, and sewn when filled. Judging by appearances, the bags of coal sold in Gisborne do not weigh more than ISOlbs. Outbakers have to give full-weight: why not our coal-dealers ?—I am, etc., Full-weight.
