At the weekly meeting of the Mutual Improvement Society on Monday evening there was a large attendance, the Journal being read by the Editor. A large number of very interesting articles were contributed, and some discussion took place on each. The debates in the Society have unproved a good deal during the past few years, but it is hoped that the younger members will come forward and take a
still more prominent part in all discussions brought up in the Society. Next Monday evening the ladies are to take charge, and a good programme, we understand, is being arranged.
