(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Palmerston North, last night. The Manawatu Racing Club commenced its Autumn Meeting to-day. Bain fell this morning, hut the weather improved at midday. The attendance was fair. The course is heavy. Flying.—Somerled 1, Sylvia 2, Perfection 3. All started except Jadoo and Sentry. Won by a head. Time, 1.22. Divi., £3 4s. Handicap Hurdles.—llLnau 1, Turanganui 2, Nat Gould 3. All started. Won easily by a length and a half. Hutana fell. Time, 8.42. Div., £9 14s.
