The City Council to-night decided to guarantee £2OOO to defray expenses in connection with the Royal visit.

An amendment to reduce the amount to ,61000 found four supporters, three being new councillors.

It was stated at the meeting of the City Council that the Reserves Committee has under consideration the question of the annual re-valuation .of the corporation tenants’ leases, also tho conditions of the leases.
