■Wellington, last night. A portion of the Mangatoro Estate, near Woodville, has been purchased from the Assets Realisation Board by Government under the Land for Settlement Act.
In order to relievo the pressuro on accommodation at- the General Post-Office, the Department has taken part of the building on Lambton Quay for discharging the money order and Post-ollico business. V
Though the Tarawera had a rough trip from Sydney, tho racehorse Advance and the yearlings purchased by Mr Prosser in Australia, were landed without a scratch.
