CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
NAPIER PROTESTS AGAINST THE INSURANCE IMPOST. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Napier, last night. At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce to-day, a resolution was passed protesting against the proposed increased insurance tariff, the Chamber considering the present tariff in the North Island was sufficiently high. It was decided to join the projected Now Zealand Associated Chambers of Commerce, provided the initial fee be fixed within a certain limit.
