WESTPORT COAL.

A SORE POINT. By Telegraph—Press Association. AVestport, last night. At a meeting of the AVestport Harbor Board to-day exception was taken to an article in the New Zealand Times by Mr Boardman, which a member said conveyed the impression that tho Board was responsible for the breakage of household coal by the retention of the present system of loading at staiths. The Chairman said that tho Board had provided cranes for loading household coal, and it was not the fault of the Board if tho AVestport Coal Company used staiths instead of these.
