CARDS FOR THE DUKE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. Dr Fell, and Messrs Riley and Wardell have been appointed a Board to judge designs of the invitation cards of the official ceremonies in connection with the Royal visit. THE CHANGE. The engravers and die workers in Wellington are busily engaged in the preparation of official stamps and seals to replace those used during the previous reign. HIS EXCELLENCY. Lord Ranfurly and aide-de-camp loft for the South last night. ROYAL VISIT. The Governor has informed the Premier that owing to the want of time it will be impossible for the Duke of Cornwall to visit Marlborough Sounds. EXCITING AFFAIR, Shortly before midnight on Saturday, one of the city night-watchmen going into the yard of Messrs Nathan and Co.’s warehouse startled some men already there. They promptly bolted into the street, and though pursued, made good their escape. A policeman on beat, observing what had happened, blew his whistle for assistance, and a cordon was drawn round the building in order to prevent the exit of any possible confederates. A long search in the building was finally rewarded' by the officers unearthing a man, who gave his name as Alfred Burrell. He was hidden bohind a pile of boxes. He was removed to the cells. The men had apparently been after tobacco, as two or three boxes Were found in the yard, and one' on the ledge of a window which had been opened.
