DROWNING ACCIDENT.

Napier last night. _ At the inquest to-day on the body of W. 11. Taylor, found in the Iron Pot yesterday, the jury returned a verdict that “ deceased met his death through falling over the wharf, mistaking it for Bridge street, and were of opinion that the. accident might bo attributable to the harbor not being properly lighted.” The jury recommended that a lamp be erected at the north end of the bridge, and further, they pointed out the urgent necessity for a morgue.at the Spit. ,
