This morning Gunga Din and Advance, the latter galloping unkindly, got once round in 2.37, Cicero, joining after three furlongs had been covered, warming pace up for them. Fulminate, who was showing the effects of recent hard work, was easily beaten by Ilalari over seven furlongs. BETTING MARKET.

Betting is quiet on the Doncaster Handicap. The following arc the quotations : 3 to 1 Wakeful, 8 to 1 Ferryman, 16 to 1 Australian and Aurous, 14 to 1 Kalain. Sydney Cup : Clean Sweep is favorite at 5 to 1, San Fran 9 to 1, La Carabine 7 to 1. YVakeful would have been backed at eights if the money had been forthcoming, but it was not.
