WOOL MARKET FIRM.

Wheat: 16,000 quarters of the New South Wales March-April shipments have been sold at 28s 74d.
Wool: At yestorday’s sales the tone was firm, and there was good competition at late rates. The sales included the following clips: Riddiford and Sons, crossbred, 6)d; W. Douglas, crossbred, 63d. To date 123,852 bales have been offered, and 117,417 sold during the present series.. Mutton : Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes, Canterbury, are unchanged in price; Dunedin and Southland, 4 3-16 d; North Island, 3 15-16 d. Lamb is unchanged in price. River Plate meat is unchanged in price. , New Zealand, 1801 b tp 2201 b, fair average quality, ox fores, 8 l-16d; hinds unchanged. .
