The insurance of £S77O on the Row Zealand Express Company’s premises in New Zealand .Company is re-insured thus :—United, National, and Guardian, £IOQ each ; Victoria, £750 ; Northern, £SOO. The nomination of candidates for the Councils under the Maori Lands Administration Act has been fixed for April 26, and the elections for May 17. A movement is gaining ground in ■Wanganui to commemorate the memory of the late Queen by the erection of a new ward in the hospital, to be called the “ Queen Victoria Ward.” It is proposed to raise by public subscription the sum of £IOOO, which will be supplemented by a Government subsidy of an equal amount,
