THE SPIRIT OF THE BUSH. [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, last night. An officer of tho Auckland customs discovered the reel of an illicit still at Tuteawa, near Coromandel, to-day, and arrested three men, named Ferguson, McCormick, and McLean. The existence of this still has been suspected for two years, and several unsuccessful searches have previously boon made. LABOR DISPUTES. The carpenters’ and joiners’ dispute was before the Conciliation Board to-day. The employers refused to accept the Board’s award. The case will probably go before the Arbitration Court. An iron moulders’ dispute is also before the Court. The employers refused to accept the finding unless it was amended, and the Board adjourned in the hope of tho parties agreeing to settlement.
