HARBOR BOARD ELECTION. TO THE ELECTORS, RATEPAYERS, AND RESIDENTS Of the BOROUGH OP GISBORNE. It is with some diffidence that I again ask that you will at the forthcoming Harbor Board Election accord me your very pronounced and substantial support, as on the last occasion. Your interests are inseparable from my own, and I feel confident that you will, on Thursday, the 21st, emphasise your previous wish in a more emphatic vote in my favor. It is an imperative duty upon every resident to exercise the franchise for the good government of his country, local or general; and I am reminded in the course of a sermon by a wellknown local divine some twelve months ago, who said in vory emphatic language: “ A man or woman who fails to exercise their privileges of citizenship in electing their representative, whether local or Parliamentary, is unworthy of our boasted Liberty.” Exercise your privileges, and vote unhesitatingly.
Yours faithfully, J. WHINRAY. TO THE ELECTORS OF THE BOROUGH HARBOR DISTRICT. T adies and Gentlemen,— -*-* Owing to the irregularities in the late election, I am again in justice to you compelled to seek your support. I have neither clique nor party to serve. It will therefore be my earnest endeavor, if elected, to guard your interests to the best of my ability. Yours faithfully, E. P. JOYCE. WAIAPU LICENSING DISTRICT.
