The National Dairy Association is promoting a large winter exhibition of dairy produce and machinery, to bo held under the auspices of the Manawatu A. and P. Association in July. An important condition,' and one new to the'colony, is to be importedfinto the competition, namely—that in placo of a factory manager being able to make an entry when he pleases, and of specially-prepared butter, the coiApeting butter is to bo taken from a Homo consignment of tho factory’s produco as it lies in the cold storage at tho port of shipment, tho boxes being selected at the time, unknown to the factory manager, by a special committee. RACING SECRETARY. Mr Clark, Secretary of tho Reef ton Racing Club, has been appointed Secrotary to the Wellington Racing Club, being selected out of about fifty applicants from all parts of the colony.
