HUNTING.

AT MANGAHEIA AND BROADLANDS. Tun members of the Poverty Bay Hunt Club, at the invitation of Messrs D. Macfavlano and G. M. Reynolds, mot at Tolago on Saturday morning for a run on Mangaheia and Broadlands. At 11 o’clock the hounds threw off near Mr Reynolds’ homestead, and ran through several paddocks and then crossed tho Mangaheia river on to Broadlands, where some really good fences wore to be negotiated. After about 20 minutes’ run tho hounds checked at the Point. Following tho visual interval, the hounds wero again on the seent, and ran merrily towards the Broadlands homestead, thence on to Mangaheia again, and eventually finished uear Mr Reynolds’ liouso. The meet was highly successful, and everybody present appeared to thoroughly enjoy tho outing. Luncheon was provided for the sportsmen by Mr Reynolds. The following comprised the field : —Messrs Cyril White (Master) on Czar, Colin Dunlop (huntsman) on Sailor, Oliver Evans (whip) on The Maliia Cat, Donald Macfarlane on Sandy, J. M. Gouldsmith on a chestnut, W. F. Sinclair on Greyling, H. D. Evans on Serenader, T. Sherratt on Haore, G. Bradley, J. R. Murphy, G. M. Reynolds, R. Sherratt, B. Bennett, M. R. Murphy, R. Reynolds, E. Williams, J. B. Morris, Reeves, J. Martin, also Ture, Rangi, Sam and To Hau (members of the Mahia polo team), and numerous others whose names we were unable to ascertain.
