STOCK SALES.

Messrs Common, Shelton aud Co. and Wyllio and Mason hold an important sale of stock at tho Wacrenga-a-hika yards today, commencing at 11.30 a.m. Eight thousand sheep of excellent quality and upwards of 500 head of cattle will be offered, also a number of horses. Messrs Williams and Kettle (Limited) have a very excellent entry of sheep aud cattle for their stock sale at Matawhero on Friday, and wo wish to draw special attention to the exceptional quality of the cattle to be offered. Some very choice lines of well-bred young stock will be offered; and an entry that must command more than ordinary competition is announced, viz : Fifty head of 3-year-old well-bred steers, all light beef. Butchers will do well to attend the sale and take advantage of so favorable an opportunity of supplying their requirements. There is also a large entry of sheep, consisting of wethers, ewes, and lambs.
