A KNOTTY POINT.

The Board of Education to-day rcsolvod to refer to their solicitor for advice, as to how to treat a parent who claims free education in the literal sense of the word, and refuses to supply his children with school books or pay for those suppled by the teacher.
Consideration of the Main School Committee to have the school made a district high school was postponed for a month. The Committee states that there are 40 pupils in the Seventh Standard, and arguos that the change would not injure the high schools, but act as a feeder.
