MOTU FOREST.

EXPERT TO BE SENT BY GOVERNMENT. A telegram was received yesterday from the Hon. : J. Carroll, in response to the request of the Liberal Association that a Government expert be sent to make a report on the quantity and quality of the timber at the Motu, that “we have no Government timber expert ourselves, but we will get one to go up and report on the Motu timber."
