FUMIGATING VESSELS.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The steamer Kumara, which arrived this evening from London, via Capetown, anchored in stream, and will be fumigated in the morning. The mails are being fumigated at Soamcrs' Island, owing to the outbreak of plague at the Cape. SEVENTH CONTINGENT. Further appointments to the Seventh Contingent are : —Captain Buthcrford, of Mastcrton ; Lieut. Brathwaite, of Hastings ; and Lieut. Grant, of Auckland.
