THE LONDON MARKETS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright London, March 3. New Zealand beef, 18()lb to 2201 b, fair average quality, ox fores, is quoted at 3|d ; hinds, 3 5-Bd. Wellington, last night. The Agricultural Department have received the following from the AgentGeneral, dated 3rd March : Butter, 100 s, demand good, New Zealand butter giving satisfaction to buyers; cheese, 50s, market dull. I consider the prices for cheese likely to improve. Hemp market very firm. Good fair Wellington, £23 10s. Auction sales this week closed with strong demand. Cocksfoot, nominal, 32s Id.
