A SAD CASE,
WITHOUT FOOD FOR SIX DAYS,
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Napier, last night. On Thursday evening last an elderly man named Edward Malloy, formerly belong to the 65tli Regiment, was found in a half-demented stato wandering amongst the sandhills at Pornngahau. When found, he had been without food for five or six days, and had been drhiking sea water on the beach. He was taken to the Parangahau hotel, and well carod for, and tho polico communicated with. Ho was taken to Waipawa, and medically examined, and was found to be of weak intellect. Ho was conveyed to Wellington Asylum to-day.
