A l -'lad residing at Brooklyn was charged in the Magistrate’s Ceurt to-day with being an idle and disorderly, person, in that he had on an article of disguise at Brooklyn on the 18th inst. It appeared that defendant had frightened women who were going home at night, by putt'ng a white tablecloth on a fence post, and also by wearing it himself. Mr McArthur, S.M., delivered a severe homily to the defendant and dismissed the information. TROOPER DANGEROUSLY ILL. The Premier has been advised that Trooper A. H. Harrison, of the New Zealand Mounted Infantry, wlio came from Colyton,’near Fcild'.agj is dangerously ill at Naauwpoort. UNHAPPY MARRIAGE DISSOLVED. In the divorce court to-day a decree nisi with an order for the custody of three children was granted to petitioner in the undefended case of R. Ward Tate versus Emma M. Ward Tate, and Archibald N. Phipson, co-respondent. Costs amounting to £25 were granted against respondent, and also against co-respondent.
