WARD SYSTEM.—TOWN HALL,
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. The City Council to-night, with three dissentients, resolved that steps be taken to abolish the ward system in connection with the municipality. The City Council has resolved to ask the ratepayers for authority to borrow £50,000 for the pih‘pos6 of Greeting 2, town ball, Jn accordance with Mr J. Charlesworth’s design.
