The Cable Steamer.
HAD TO RUN FOR SHELTER. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wakapuaka, last night. A very heavy sea sprang up this afternoon, and the Recordor had to run to Croixelles for safer anchorage. The electricians, and several of tho Asiatic crew who were ashore wore unable to regain the vessel, and are quartered on the station for the night.
The Recorder will return for these men as soon as the sea moderates, and will then proceed to Wellington.
