„ BOWLINQ. On Tuesday, in the “ colts ” match, Morgan with a handicap of 15, scored 28 against Barry, who, with a handicap of 8 scored 26. Yesterday afternoon in the Handicap Singles, Humphreys with 6 points met A. Bees with 10 points. A close game ensued, Humphreys winning by the narrow majority of 3. In the Handicap Bink Tournament Simson’s team with 12 points tried conclusions with Bright’s team, which had 21 points. For the former T. J. Witty led, T. Adair 2, and H. Price as 3. For the latter T, Morrison led, J. A. Harding 2, with Ain bridge, as 3. Up to the end of the sixteenth head Bright’s team had the best of the scoring considering the handicap, and also of the play, and the scores stood Bright 37, Sirnson 29, the game looking a certainty for Bright. On the seventeenth head, however, a change came over the scene, Simson’s team scoring, and, being well supported by his team, followed up by scoring every head to the end of the name, adding a further 10 points. Bright’s team having become disorganised, Bright, with a desperate endeavor to save defeat, and wanting 6 to tie, made a dead head on he twenty-first head, hut was unable to get the required number on to make a dead h9ad on the next attempt.
