Opening Canadian Parliament.

The speech from the Throne at tho opening of tho Canadian Parliament expressed the hope that the Duke and Duchess of York would visit Canada, and assured their hearty welcome. It also mentioned the satisfactory progress Of the' Pacific Cable scheme, and expressed the] hope that nothing would occur to," prevent the completion of the cable. Mr Mulo'ch, Postmaster-General, announced that a .Bill would be introduced to arrange for Citnada’s financial share to the scheme.
