VISIT OF SAMOA GOVERNOR. THE LIBERAL ASSOCIATION’S CRUSADE. [BV TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, last night. Dr Solf, the German Governor of Samoa, is expected to pay a visit to Auckland next month. He will probably make a visit to the Hot Lakes district. •. s At a meeting of the Council of tho Auck- * land Liberal Association resolutions were carried stating that: “ This meeting of members of the Council of the Auckland Liberal *-• Association be formed into an electoral com- ■ mittee to take steps to organise ward com-' mittees to endeavor to secure tho return of capable men among the workers to represent the city at the coming municipal elections; that the members of all labor organisations be invited to send delegates to co-operate with the electoral committee of the Liberal Association to select candidates that shall bo asked to contest the Municipal Council elections.
At a meeting of the Onehunga Borough Council the Mayor, Dr Erson, referred; in feeling terms to the state of tho Queen’s health, and the. Council decided to adjourn as a mark of sorrow.
