The Boer War.

Tho Boers have captured a British train east of Balmoral, laden, with mining material for the Rand. The troopship Canada has sailed for the Gape with 1300 regulars and 520 recruits for General Baden-Powell’s Police.
Three squadrons of Johannesburg Mounted Rifles captured a Boer outpost at Springs, tho terminus of the East Rand railway line. A strong Boer force subsequently made a strong attack, but were ropulsed. Sixty-seven Aberbcen Dutch have joined the raiders.
