The Hunterville Fire.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. Nearly all the fire insurance offices hold risks on the properties destroyed in the fire at Hunterville this morning. The followingare stated to be amounts United, £OOO (J. Mclldowney £4OO, G. W. D. Morris £75, and Temperance Hall and contents £125); Standard, £380; Alliance, £450; Imperial, £900; Australian Alliance, £550! Commercial Union, £450; Liverpool, London and Globe, £800; National, £350; North Queensland, £150; the New Zealand Company is understood to be interested to the extent of £2,750, part of which, however, is re-insured. The losses of the South British and Phcenix offices are not yet known. The Argyle Hotel, a large building of 50 rooms, was owned by Messrs T, and W. Young and Dwan Bros., of Wellington.
