A court circular has been issued announcing that lately Her Majesty.the Queen has not been in her usual health.
Her Hajesty is unable to take the customary drives. The great strain of the past year [this no doubt alludes more particularly to the war] has told upon the Queen’s nervous system. The physicians in attendance think it advisable that Her Majesty should he kept perfectly quiet in the house. They advise, further, that for the present she should abstain from transacting business. Anxiety has to an extent been allayed by unofficial advices, which state that there is no immediate cause for alarm.
Her Majesty gave an audience to Lord Roberts, the Commander-in-Chief of the British forces, on Monday last. She has been able to take intermittent drives since Tuesday. Her health has shown signs of failure since the death of the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and the Dowager Lady Churchill. She was also much pained by the circumstances connected with the divorce of her grand-daughter.') Received 5.5 p.m., Jan. 20. London, Jan. 19.
Information has been received that the health of Her Majesty has bocome worse than reported in the previous message. Owing to the state of health of his mother, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales has gone' to Osborne.
The other members of the Royal Family have been summoned to Osborne.
The Emperor of Germany has started for England to be present with the members of the Queen’s household. Later. —The latest bulletin issued to-night is of a more reassuring nature.
