SPIRITED BIDDING AT WOOL SALES.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, Jan. 19. At the wool sales to-day there was spirited bidding, and prices were fully maintained.

Later.—The wool market is very firm, but unchanged in price. The Bradford market is quiet. Common sixties are at 18L and supers at 19J. The butter market is quiet, and a shade weaker in price, the choicest is at 110 s to 112 s, with good demand : secondary at 96s to 100 s, and Danish at 1255.

The wool sales are slightly easier in tone. Crossbreds are firm. The wool catalogued to date is 48,7G6 bales, of which there has been sold 46,715.
