LETTER TO NEW SOUTH WALES PREMIER. GRATITUDE PROM SOUTH AFRICA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, yesterday. Sir William Lyne has received a letter from Messrs Frost and Moore, offioial representatives of Cape Colony and Natal, at the Federal celebrations. They express themselves impressed with the prosperity and profound peace prevailing in Australia. “In our hour of need and sore distress,” they state, “Australia came unasked to our assistance, and gave her best and bravest to do mighty deeds whioh not only helped to save our oolonies from the enemy, but added to the honor and prestige of tho Empire. We shall nover forget it, and on behalf of our fellow colonists we offer to thoso who dear ones will nevor return our most heartfelt sympathy, and assure them that the graves of the heroes who have fallen in the war will ever be cared for, the women of South Africa, with tho assistance of the Government, having taken the matter in hand.”
