Interesting information regarding the London wool sales reached us by cable last night. There is an advance in the price of crossbred wool, though the demand is weak. At the local Magistrate’s Court, yesterday morning, a first offender, arraigned for drunkenness, claimed, and was as usual granted, the usual clemency of the Court, being convicted and discharged. Another offender, who was evidently suffering from an attack of delirium tremens, could not be formally charged and his case proceeded with, a 3 his condition was such that the Magistrate deemed it advisable to remand him (dr medical examination and treatment.
